3.5 4Very pleasant book By the end I wanted to stretch it out and take longer breaks between picking it up again just to make it last longer It was fun guessing at Edmondson s threads and the mysterious histories of the characters I wish we hadtime in Paris andtime to wrap up the plot some of the characters stories but very enjoyable. Very enjoyable, old fashioned story, romance and mystery of sorts.Based in 1930 s in London and then on the French Riviera,in the world of millionaires and lowly artistes.Predictable and slow, but that s what i think we have signed for.I liked the slow pace and i liked the fact i haven t been shocked or appalled by anything.Very nice, not too ambitious, perfect for a cruise or a leisure day by a lake, looking in the ripples of a water. Another great story from this author The ending was very quick to enfold, but I like books that don t drag out Is there a follow on May be there could be a book written where her characters from her other books all meet on a cruise liner, or in a hotel, that would be a good read Everything you would expect from Elizabeth Edmondson. Loved it, great readLoved this book lots twists n turns but well written, sad when I finished the book This is my second book by Elizabeth n its just as enjoyable, certainly cant wait to read the next one Good book from Elizabeth Edmondson one of her better ones Takes a while to get into it and the pace is slow but steady but as a holiday read it was ideal Liked the characters and there were enough twists and turns to keep you occupied. Great readI enjoyed the book reading about all the different characters I really hope to hear about Polly and how the rwst of her life pans out.
